Mark Madron, 78, of Verdon, NE, passed away August 10, 2021 at Falls City, NE. He was born December 31, 1952 at Presque Isle, MA to Joseph and Marlene (Parker) Madron.

He married Lygia Douse on January 22, 1971 at Dunning, NE, they divorced in 1993. He then married Rose Shandy on October 6, 2006 at Falls City.

Mark enlisted in the United States Air Force on March 10, 1972. He served as a ACFT Control and Radio Repairman. He was honorably discharged on August 15, 1979 at Patrick AFB, FL.

Mark was raised at Thedford, NE and graduated Thedford High School in 1971. Following his discharged he moved back to Thedford and worked on the family’s ranch for a couple of years. He then worked for Kallego Manufacturing in Grand Island making electronic signs. He moved to Fort Worth, TX and worked on military planes then moved to Palm Dale, CA and worked for Rockwell International where he worked on B-1 Bombers. He then moved to Rogers, AR where he owned his own landscaping business and also worked for a telecommunication company as a long-distance installer. He moved to Florida for 10 years and worked for Olympus Medical Equipment, he retired from the medical equipment industry in 2008. He moved to Verdon in 2006 and has lived there since. He stayed busy going to auctions and reselling things. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting and talking to his sister. He was a member of Good News Assembly of God Church where he was a board member and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Rose of Verdon, daughters, Kristi Madron of Charlotte, NC, Mindi Madron and a special friend Jeremy Elliott of Rogersville, MO, sister, Marla Holthusen and her husband Dale of York, NE, grandchildren, Xavier, Alora, Evi, Ethan and Asher. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Good News Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tim Boatright officiating. Inurnment will be in Omaha National Cemetery on Friday at 10:00 AM. Military graveside honors by the Air Force Honor Guard.
