Dale Eugene Brownlow Sr., 84, of Topeka, KS, passed away September 30, 2021. Dale was born on June 25, 1937 to Rachel Angeline Carpenter and Jesse William Brownlow in Holton, Kansas.

Dale served in the United States Navy from September 1955 to September 1959. He served on the U.S.S. Bennington, U.S. Intrepid, and U.S.S. Forestall and traveled to the Arctic Circle, Ireland, and France during his years of service.

Dale had a long and successful career as an Auto Parts Counter Salesman at the Kansas Automotive Warehouse in Topeka, KS. Dale enjoyed gardening and created beautiful and colorful flower beds each year.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leroy Brownlow; sisters, Kathleen Johnston, Marilyn May, Doris Armstrong, and Evelyn Weatherhead; and son, Dale Brownlow Jr.

He is survived by his children Alan Brownlow, Ryan Brownlow, Carol Matthews; brother, Donald Brownlow (Linda); sisters, Linda Brownlow and Shirley Horr.

Dale was dearly loved and will be remembered for his kind spirit, strong work ethic, honesty, everlasting positive attitude, and for being a loving Father, Brother, and Son.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to funeral service. Dale will lie in state 8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Monday. Memorials may be given to the Holton V.F.W. Post 1367 c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O.
