Cody Lee "Waa-Ka-Mo" Ramirez, 32, of the Kickapoo Reservation, but lived in Topeka, Kansas passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at his home in Topeka, Kansas.

He was born on January 28, 1989 in Hiawatha, Kansas the son of Stefani Gomez and Tony Ramirez. Cody had a lot of hard obstacles to deal with at a very young age. He got diabetes at five years of age and leukemia at six. He was able to beat the cancer and went on to grow into a very empathetic compassionate person who despite his own struggles cared very deeply for everyone in his own way. He was an old 'soul who believed with all his heart! He loved his music, reading, studying the bible and being with friends and family. He definitely left his mark! And will be deeply missed!

He is survived by his parents, Stefani (Gomez) McKinney of Pawnee, Oklahoma and Tony Ramirez of Hiawatha, Kansas; son, Cody Ramirez Jr. of White Cloud, Kansas; brother, Kyle Ramirez of Pawnee, Oklahoma; four aunts, Andrea Shuckahosee of Topeka, Kansas, Nicole Gomez of St. Joseph, Missouri, Dana Jo Dooley of Kansas City, Kansas and Sabrina Ramirez of Kansas City, Missouri; One uncle, Sam Ramirez of Horton, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Ramirez. A community supper and visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Kickapoo Community Building from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on the Kickapoo Reservation. Service will begin on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 9:30 A.M. at the Kickapoo Community Building with burial to follow at the Kennekuk Cemetery on the Kickapoo Reservation.
