Patricia Ann (Schuessler) James, 86, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Plaza West Health and Rehab in Topeka, KS. She was born April 28, 1935 in Washington, KS, the daughter of Thomas and Mildred (Allen) Schuessler. She graduated from Washington High School.

On December 11, 1956, Patricia was united in marriage to Loren Dean James in Fairbury, NE. They shared over 30 years of marriage before Loren passed away on July, 10, 1987.

Patricia worked for many years at the State of Kansas as a clerk in the Department of Administration Division of Purchasing. She also worked for many years as a door greeter at Walmart in Holton. Most of all, Patricia was a loving and devoted wife and mother where she took care of her family.

Survivors include four children, Richard James of Topeka, KS, Randy James (Marcia) of Topeka, KS, Debra Gallentine of Topeka, KS and Lori Yerger (Chad) of Dover, PA; 2 brothers, Steven Schuessler (JoAnn) of Hutchinson, KS and Michael Schuessler (Kim) both of Washington, KS; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Loren.

A visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:30 A.M. Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, KS. Graveside Memorial Service at the Holton Cemetery will take place at a later date.
