Earl Lloyd Gimeson, 76, of rural Humboldt, Nebraska was born on October 18, 1945 in Orleans, Nebraska to Otis and Anna Belle (Smith) Gimeson.  He was raised on a farm near Alma, Nebraska and attended school in Orleans graduating from Orleans High School with the class of 1963.  After high school, Earl worked construction where he built grain bins and silos.  He then worked for the elevator in Davenport for many years.  Earl later moved to Humboldt, Nebraska and was united in marriage to Carol Topp on December 27, 1989.  The couple moved to a farm south of Humboldt where they have lived ever since. 

Earl passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at his home in rural Humboldt, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of seventy-six years, three months and thirty days.  He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and seven brothers.

Earl is survived by his loving wife Carol Gimeson of rural Humboldt, NE; daughters: Sara Allen and husband Ed of Humboldt, NE; Jill Allen and husband Travis of Beatrice, NE; grandchildren: Damian Allen and wife Heather of Utica, NE; Schuyler Allen and wife Kayleigh of Beatrice, NE; Courtney Allen of Lincoln, NE; Carissa Allen of Humboldt, NE; Kendle Burow of Omaha, NE; Caleb Allen and wife Alexis of Beatrice, NE; Mariah Allen of Beatrice, NE; great-grandchildren: Kaidan and Kali Allen of Utica, NE; Jayden and Ryker Allen of Beatrice, NE; brothers: Merle Gimeson of Grant, NE; Russ Gimeson and wife Celeste of Spring Hill, FL; brothers-in-law: Jim Topp of Tecumseh, NE; George Topp and wife Lorie of Tecumseh, NE; Ron Topp of Tecumseh, NE; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the Christian Church in Humboldt, Nebraska with Pastor Howard Blecha officiating.

A register book will be available from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 2022, at the Wherry Mortuary, 207 N. Nemaha Street in Humboldt, Nebraska.
