Michael Anthony Winsea, 63, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 at the Olathe Hospice House in Olathe, Kansas.

He was born on September 26, 1958 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Leland and Joan Bent Winsea Sr. Michael had been working for Cross Winds in Hiawatha, Kansas before he became ill.  Michael married Holly Tonepahote in Kansas City, Missouri. He enjoyed playing basketball, football, baseball and loved his Kansas City Chiefs.

He is survived by his son, Michael Joe Winsea of Kansas City, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jessica and Mikey Winsea; wife, Holly Winsea of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; three sisters, Christine (Jeff) Pewamo of Horton, Kansas, Lisa Winsea of Topeka, Kansas and Sabrina (Gary) Wabski of Mayetta, Kansas; three brothers, Leland Winsea Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri, Robert Winsea of Hiawatha, Kansas and Joe (Melissa) Winsea of Horton, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Carol Burgess and Brenda Warner and a brother, Leslie Winsea.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, February 25, 2022 at the Kickapoo Community Building on the Kickapoo Reservation with burial to follow at the Winsea Cemetery. A special message may be sent to the family at www.dishon-maple-chaney.com
