Kay Frances Masqua, of McLouth, KS died Sunday February 27, at the Providence Hospital in Kansas City, KS.

She was born April 23, 1939 the daughter of Clarence Eugene and Lilla Marie Scott Lanphear. She attended school in McLouth, KS and was a 1958 graduate of McLouth High School.

Kay worked at Hallmark Cards from 1963 to her retirement in 1999. She volunteered at the Topeka Rescue Mission for many years. She was a member of the McLouth Church of the Nazarene, and worked with her husband in traveling ministry.

She married Cedric “Joe” Masqua in Kay County, OK on August 3, 1957. He preceded her in death on January 15, 2019.

Survivors include two sons, Vernon (Cheryl) Masqua, McLouth, Marvin Masqua, Mesa, AZ, four grandchildren, Bobbie Jo Smoots, Devon Masqua, Lew Masqua, Keegan Masqua and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Elaine Masqua Kibler and Angela Masqua Forshee.

Per her request, Cremation is planned. Services will be scheduled at later date. Memorials may be made to the Benevolence fund at the McLouth Church of the Nazarene or the Jefferson County Humane Society, sent in care of the Barnett Family Funeral Home, PO Box 602 Oskaloosa, KS 66066.
