David Mitchell Moseley

 David Mitchell Moseley, 86, of Perry, KS, formerly of Denison, KS, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka, KS. He was born August 16, 1935 west of Havensville, KS, the son of Paul Mitchell and Elva Lou (Mitchell) Moseley.

          Dave graduated from Mayetta High School in 1953. He proudly served in the Kansas National Guard for 10 years.

          He worked for Goodyear Tire Company for 35 years, retiring in 1995.

          He was a member of Denison Bible Church, a volunteer for Jackson County Food Pantry, coached Topeka Youth Baseball for 12 years and coached Little League Baseball in Denison for 9 years.

          Dave married Rosalia “Rose” Lechman on November 17, 1955; she preceded him in death on August 18, 2020 after 64 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Steven Moseley.

          Survivors include 2 sons, David M. Moseley, Jr. of Hoyt, KS and Matthew M. Moseley of Perry, KS; brother, Michael Moseley (Pam) of Hoyt, KS; sister, Saundra Renner (Bill) of Mayetta, KS; 6 grandchildren, Jordan Moseley, Lauren Johnston, Alicia Johnston, Dawson Moseley, Kaylee Moseley and Mollie Moseley and 1 great-grandson, Ronin.

          Memorial Service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Inurnment of Dave and Rose will follow at the Havensville Cemetery.
