Calvin “Pat” Puckett, Jr, 73, of Humboldt, NE, passed away June 7, 2022 at Falls City. He was born March 17, 1949 at Lawrence, KS to Calvin and Grace (Van Nice) Puckett, Sr.

He married Trudi Simmons on October 30, 1981 at Enid, OK. She passed away August 21, 2008.

Pat enlisted in the U. S. Air Force on March 11, 1971 at Kansas City, MO. He served as an air traffic control radar repairman. He was honorably discharged on June 10, 1974 at Dobbins AFB, GA.

Pat was raised at Lawrence and Humboldt, KS and graduated from Lawrence Senior High School in 1967. He drove a truck until enlisting and when he was discharged, he continued driving a truck over the road, moving from Enid to Hiawatha in 1993 where he continued driving until 2009 and then began working at Mary’s Appliance at Falls City. He gained a life partner in November of 2019 when he married Shirley Bivans and then moved to Humboldt. He was a member of First Christian Church at Hiawatha and the VFW.

Pat is survived by his spouse, Shirley Bivans of Humboldt, children, Amanda Zell, Christina Rogers and Matthew Puckett all of Lawrence, KS, Eric Puckett and Melissa Puckett both of Falls City, brother, Tom and his wife Angela, sister, Diana Lawrence of West Port, NY, step-children, Wendy Reuter and her husband Erick of Shubert, NE, Monte Foster and his wife Kala of Falls City, four grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a daughter, Mary Grace in infancy.

Mr. Puckett has been cremated and services will be held at a later date.
