Travis Stuke
Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca
Seneca, KS

Travis Michael Stuke, 42, of Seneca, Kansas lost his battle against Glioblastoma brain cancer, on the 3rd day of August, 2022 at Nemaha Valley Community Hospital surrounded by family. Just like he dealt with all life experiences, Travis managed his illness with strength and humor.

Travis was born on April 26, 1980 in Seneca to Michael Stuke and Janet Streit. Travis attended Seneca Public Schools, graduating from Nemaha Valley in the class of 1998. He graduated from Kansas State University in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, which he put to use every day. He started his career in agriculture chemical and seed sales immediately after graduation. He worked for Northeast Kansas Chemical for four years. He then purchased the business in 2007 and created Frontier Chemical. He and his wife BranDee grew Frontier for the next seven years and sold in 2014, so they could focus on family and their family farm.

Travis married his best friend BranDee Spielman on August 4, 2004. He was a devoted and loving husband and an amazing father to their children. Travis taught his children the value of hard work, and to enjoy every moment of life. He was known for his onery ways, quick wit, and fun-loving personality. He worked hard and played harder. In his spare time, he enjoyed being at the Lake of the Ozarks, traveling, attending Kansas State football games, tailgating and hosting happy hours in his shop and being outdoors.

Travis was preceded in death by his father, Michael Stuke on January 28, 2021; his grandparents, Leonard “Bud” Stuke on January 7, 2014, Cecilia “Cedar” Stuke on July 5, 2022, Raymond Streit on January 7, 2001 and Mildred Streit on March 24, 2017.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, BranDee; his mother, Janet Streit of Seneca; his children, Koree (14), Trent (11), Treyton (9) all of the home; a step son, Zachary Phillips (David Wilcox) of Sewanee, Tennessee; a brother, James (Amanda) Stuke of Agency, Missouri; and sisters, Katie Linden of Lenexa, Tracy Linden of Merriam and Chelsea (Myron) Liu of Lawrence.
