Roxie Ann Schneider, 74, of Pawnee City, Nebraska passed away in her hometown on Thursday, August 4, 2022.    She was born on September 22, 1947 to George and Emily (Dahlinger) Miller in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.  

Her family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska when she was a young girl.  She was proud of her German heritage and Lincoln provided the opportunity to interact with other German families and had ample Runza resources.  She attended Lincoln Northeast High School until her Senior year, when she transferred to Ceresco High School.   She later attended the C.E. School of Commerce in Omaha.  It was attending Ceresco High when she me the love of her life, a green-eyed sweet talker named Harvey Schneider.   

Roxie married Harvey Schneider on August 19, 1967.   This union produced three rambunctious children, Scot, Richard and April.   They raised a family in a house they purchased in 1976, a home she would live in the rest of her life.  

Her first job was at Bankers Life in Lincoln.  She then became a military spouse and mother, stationed in Berlin Germany.  She traveled throughout Europe while stationed there, enjoying many of the cultural experiences the country has to offer.  

Roxie moved to Pawnee City in 1974.   She raised her children and also babysat for other families out of the family home during that time, due to her love of children and strong maternal instincts. Once her children were grown, she worked at Pawnee Playcare; Deb’s Flower Shop; Pawnee County Courthouse; Donahue and Faesser Law office and Wherry Mortuary.   

Roxie’s hobbies included traveling, spending time with friends, attending her kid’s activities and her grandkids activities, membership in the LNO club, bowling, listening to country music and attending concerts, and visiting the local casinos of which she was a Diamond Member.  

She was preceded in death by Husband Harvey Schneider, Parents George and Emily Miller, Sister Sharon Miller, Brother Ronald “Bud” Miller, Parents-in-law Norman and Gwen Schneider, and brother-in-law Dwayne Schneider.   

She is survived by her children:  Scot and Kelly Schneider of Malvern, IA;  Richard Schneider of Saint Petersburg, FL;  April and Matt McHenry of Burchard, NE; and her Grandchildren: Gavin and Norman McHenry, Cayden and Alystar Schneider, and Brandon and Gavin Marrs;  nieces, nephews and countless friends who miss her dearly.    Celebration of Life/Visitation on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Poteet Hall, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Memorials to family choice.
