Omelia Luna, 81, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 at her home. She was born on December 17, 1940 in Reynosa Tamp, Mexico the daughter of Reymundo and Julie Gonzales Garcia Sr. Omelia was a homemaker and loved raising her children. After her children were raised she enjoyed walking, listening to Mexican music, knitting and watching her Spanish soap opera's. She was a member of the St. Leo's Catholic Church and the Altar Society. On February 25, 1968 she married Jesus Luna in Reynosa Tamp, Mexico. Survivors include her husband, Jesus Luna of the home; daughters, Antonia Luna of Horton, Kansas, Araceli Luna of Topeka, Kansas and Adriana Luna of Berwyn, Illinois; son, Jesus Manuel Luna of Clarksville, Tennessee; sister, Olga Garcia of McAllen, Texas and two grandchildren. A rosary will be recited at 10:30 A.M. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 12, 2022 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas where the family will greet friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M.
