Patsy A. Wittenbach, 88, of Topeka, KS, formerly of Holton, KS, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor. She was born November 14, 1933 in Glen Elder, KS, the daughter of Chester W. and Alma M. (Wiese) Barnett.

          Patsy graduated from Glen Elder High School in 1951. She lived in Topeka from 1951 – 1957, Holton from 1957 – 1978 and Topeka from 1978 to present. Pasty worked for 10 years for Fleming Companies in Topeka as an accountant.

          She was a member of Glen Elder Christian Church and American Legion Auxiliary in Holton and Topeka. 

          Pasty married Lawrence P. D’Orvilliers; they later divorced. She married Edwin Lloyd Wittenbach on December 29, 1956 in Topeka; he preceded her in death on January 29, 2010, they celebrated over 53 years of marriage.

          Survivors include 3 sons, Dennis D’Orvilliers (Heather) of Grove, OK, Steve Wittenbach (Reene) of Topeka, KS and Jerry Wittenbach of Topeka, KS; daughter, Dawn Suzanne “Susie” Lovelady (Tom) of Silver Lake, KS; 2 sisters, Dianne Ahlvers of Frankfort, KS and Ruthy Sherrer of Topeka, KS; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

          She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Alma Barnett; son, John D’Orvilliers; infant sister, Joanne Barnett and brother, Bill Barnett.

          Family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Private Family Inurnment will be at a later date at the Holton Cemetery.
