William “Bill” Howard Miller, Jr.

William “Bill” Howard Miller, Jr., 54, of Mayetta, KS, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at his home. He was born February 11, 1968 in Norwich, NY the son of William Howard, Sr. and Patricia (Muller) Miller.

Bill graduated in 1987 from South Otselic High School in South Otselic, New York. Bill lived in Mayetta for 21 years and previously in Axtell, KS. He was a truck driver for Koch and Company for many years. Bill also worked for Topeka Trailer Repair and recently he worked for Aramark in the maintenance department where he repaired industrial washers and dryers.

On July 8, 1989, Bill was united in marriage to Delaina J. Shockey in Rossville, KS. They shared over 33 years of marriage.

Bill served in the United States Army from 1987 – 1991. He was a member of the Mayetta Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge #393 A.F. & A.M in Mayetta, KS and the Hung Like Monkey’s Biker Group.

Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing; especially with his family and close friends.

Survivors include his wife Delaina of the home; two daughter, Kayla M. Ribelin (Scott) of Hoyt, KS and Karlie J. Miller (Nathan Triggs) of Topeka, KS; son, Caliber T. Miller of the home; 2 sisters, Rhonda Barry (Marty) of Oxford, NY and Paula Palmer (Elmer) of Greer, SC; brother, Dan Miller (Shawna) of Hiawatha, KS; father-in-law, William Shockey of Soldier, KS; 3 grandchildren, Blaine, Korianna and Braelynna and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Howard, Sr. and Patricia Miller; son, Chase William Miller; mother-in-law, Audrey Shockey; and a nephew, Timothy Barry.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, September 24, 2022 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, KS. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Holton Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5-7:00 P.M. Thursday, September 22, 2022 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Memorial contributions may be made to the William H.
