Leona E. Beethe, age 98 of Elk Creek, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Pawnee Community Memorial Hospital in Pawnee City.

Survivors include children Karen (Bob) Thompson of Colorado, Keith Beethe of Table Rock, Nancy (Pete) Eggers of Auburn, Arlin (Kim) Beethe of Elk Creek; grandchildren Bob (Patti) Thompson, Bill (Kelly) Thompson, Dave Thompson, Angie (Eric) Drake, Kevin (Carmen) Beethe, Kris (Matt) Castle, Lindsay (Matt) Tuxhorn, Spence (Ashley) Beethe, Lance (Lyndsay) Beethe, Erin (Tyler) Vock, Cole Beethe (Kaleigh); 17 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 24, 3:00 p.m., at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church rural Elk Creek. Burial will follow in the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn. The family will greet friends on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Family Life Center at St. Peter’s Church rural Elk Creek.
