Lisa Marie Stallbaumer, 49, of Seneca passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2022 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, surrounded by her family. The family is both devastated and shaken by her death.

Lisa was born on May 16, 1973 to Lowell and Lela (Tanking) Elder at the Seneca Hospital, she was the couple’s youngest child and their only daughter. Lisa had four amazing brothers to look after her and also to torment her, as all good brothers do. Lisa attended Seneca Grade School and graduated from Nemaha Valley High School in 1991. She attended Washburn University in Topeka and graduated in 1993 with her degree in Radiology Technology. Lisa was employed by Nemaha Valley Community Hospital from 1993-2010, as a radiology technician. She also held certifications in Sonography, Computer Tomography and Mammography

Lisa married Michael Stallbaumer on June 18, 1994 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. The two were kindred spirits and good friends, besides being a loving couple. They were blessed with seven remarkable children. Anyone who knew Lisa knew that she loved being a mother, she simply loved spending time with her family. She shared that same love with her community and friends. Lisa was always wearing a heartfelt smile and she was always ready to visit, she was much like her father in that respect, she never knew a stranger.

In 2008, Lisa opened, owned and operated Everything Grows With Love Daycare, and she loved and cared for many many children over the past 14 plus years. Anyone that truly knew Lisa knew she had a big heart; she represented the good that we all need in our everyday lives. She was always pushing forward no matter the situation, she was one of the select few who could rise to meet the challenge with a smile.

Lisa was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Altar Society. She was very involved with her children and 4-H, helping them achieve multiple blue and purple ribbons in various baking and sewing competitions. She baked a mean German Chocolate cake. She helped coach softball and made sure her kids arrived at their sporting activities, sometimes at the same time in different locations.

Lisa had a passion for creativity, which could be seen in her sewing and baking. Lisa was kind, she never hesitated to throw herself into a challenge to help others. She was honest and genuine and never pretended to be anyone other than herself.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Lela on December 18, 2009 and Lowell on August 28, 2014; her materal and paternal grandparents; and a miscarried daughter, Maria Hope Stallbaumer.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Michael; their children, Michaela (Lucas) Schmelzle of Axtell, Shaylyn Stallbaumer of Seneca, Bryant Stallbaumer of Centralia, Jonathan Stallbaumer of Baileyville, Hillary, Maryssa and Blaise all of the home; a grandson, Jameson Schmelzle; and siblings, Lee (Geralyn) Elder of Wichita, Lynn (Gina) Elder of Salina, Larry (Karla) Elder of Topeka and Les (Dana) Elder of Chanhassen, MN.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Lisa will be held on Wednesday, October 5th at 11 AM at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. Rosaries will be prayed at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 4th at 2 & 7 PM. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
