Dorothy Ann Linck, 87, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the Amberwell Hospital in Hiawatha, Kansas.

She was born on September 15, 1935 in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of William and Alverta (Timby) Erpelding. She graduated from Mount Saint Scholastica in Atchison, Kansas. Dorothy was a cook at the Hiawatha Hospital and the Horton Elementary School before retiring. She was a member of the St. Leo- Catholic Church and the Altar Society in Horton, Kansas.

As a young woman, she met Leroy Linck at a CYO dance, where began her lifelong love for the man who she married on September 26, 1953 in Atchison, Kansas and raised their children with him. Dorothy and Leroy enjoyed square dancing, camping and traveling around the country.

Survivors include children, Catherine Spare of Hiawatha KS, Keith (Flavia) Linck of Hiawatha KS, Karen Rabe of Topeka KS, and Kenneth Linck of Flagstaff AZ; grandchildren Belinda (Jason) Estes of Hiawatha KS, Michelle (Nicholas) Kieffer of Wichita KS, Scott Spare (Kristin Clark) of Hiawatha KS, Ashley Rabe (Sean Garrison) of Topeka KS, Nathaniel (Isabella) Klaus of Bend OR, Mykala (Karly) Rabe of Topeka KS, Christian Rabe of Topeka KS, Reid Linck of Flagstaff AZ, Henry Linck of Flagstaff AZ; 13 great-grandchildren in Hiawatha, Wichita, and Topeka KS, brother, William Erpelding of Chesterfield, MO, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Her family blessings were many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leroy Linck on May 23, 2022, her son-in-law Steve Spare, and her grandson, Steven Gaston.

A rosary will be recited at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the St. Leo- Catholic Church in Horton, Kansas where the family will greet friends following the rosary. The funeral mass will be at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be at the St. Leo- Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mission Village Activity fund or the St. Leo- Catholic Altar Society.
