Duane William Tramp
Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha
Sabetha, KS

Duane William Tramp, 75, of Sabetha, Kansas, went to be with his Lord on Monday, December 26, 2022.

Duane was born on October 1, 1947, to Jerome and Charlotte (Foxhoven) Tramp of Crofton, Nebraska. After Duane graduated from Holy Name High School in Omaha, Nebraska, he joined the United States Navy and began his 23-year military career in graphic arts. He later transitioned to the United States Air Force. Duane loved his country and was proud to serve in Guam, Vietnam, Turkey, Norway, and state-side.

Duane married his high school sweetheart, Kathie McManus. They were blessed with three children, Casey (Blair) Tramp, Chris (Kara) Tramp, and Daniel (Loni) Tramp, and later, he was overjoyed with the arrival of each of his five grandchildren. Duane loved his family and bragged about them often.

After retiring from the military, Duane went back to college to pursue what he felt called to do which was “to serve the Lord.” He graduated with a degree in biblical studies from Grace Bible College. The rest of his life was spent ministering to others and serving his beloved Sabetha community. Duane would give the shirt off his back to anyone who asked. In his spare time, Duane could be found shooting pictures of “all the kids” at Sabetha school and community events, and he graciously shared those photographs with the many recipients of his photographic talents.

Duane is now joyfully in heaven with his parents; his brother, Robert Tramp; and his nephew, Scott Kimsey.

Duane is survived by his wife; his three children; his five grandchildren; and his sister, Cheri Menter. He will be eagerly waiting for you there.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the NorthRidge Church in Sabetha. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
