Toni Andrews, 77, of rural Everest, KS. passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at her home.

She was born in Horton, Kansas on December 26, 1945, the daughter of Anthony (Tony) and Ernestine (Peden) Schecher. On July 10, 1963 she married Johnnie Andrews in Horton, KS. Toni spent many years raising her children and helping around the farm. Later she worked at RCI in Horton then moved on to Rainbow Telecommunication in Everest until she retired in 2010. Toni spent a lot of her time caring for her husband until his passing. She was an avid reader and spent most of her days curled up in a blanket reading. She loved to visit with family and friends who would stop in to see her.

Toni is survived by her daughter, Julie Andrews of rural Everest, two grandchildren Shawna Andrews (Frank Stoldt) and Christopher Beagle, three great grandchildren, Gracie Andrews, Aleigha Andrews, and Jax Andrews. She is also survived by her brother Chuck Schecher of Horton. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jimmy Schecher, Robert Schecher, sisters, Mary Ann Bontrager, and Barb McClaskey, her husband, Johnnie Andrews, a son, Jeff Andrews and a great granddaughter Johnnie Mae Andrews.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas where the family will greet friends from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. on Friday evening. A private burial will be at the Wolf River Cemetery near Leona, Kansas. Memorials may be made to the Toni Andrews memorial fund to be designated later and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
