Wilma Jean (Richard) Carlson, 67 of Horton, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the Sabetha Community Hospital.

She was born on December 17, 1955 in Holton, Kansas the second of four daughters born to Henry (Bud) and Eula Jean (Linneman) Richard.

Wilma graduated from Hinkley High in 1975 in Aurora, Colorado. She then moved with her family to Mayetta, Kansas. She married James Carlson in Holton, Kansas they had three sons, Christopher, Adam and Brandon. Wilma worked at the Horton Headlight, Golden Eagle Casino, Horton Community Hospital, Diana's Steak House, the Corner Cafe and the Horton Grade School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the boy's father, Jim and son's Adam and Brandon.

She is survived by her son, Chris (Susanne) Carlson of Hiawatha, Kansas; her sisters, Judy (Tom) Torkelson of Everest, Kansas, Diana DeWulf and Myra (Steve) Lemon both of Horton, Kansas and her beloved grandchildren, Devin, William and Kyle of Missouri, Kassandra, Emily and Zoey of Atchison County, Kavan and Jocelyn of Hiawatha, Kansas, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
