Richard Daniel “Dan” Boyer, age 78 of Auburn, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023, at his home.

Survivors include his wife Marceleen; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Kathy Boyer of Auburn; daughter and son-in-law Alecia and Nathaniel Gerdes of Johnson; grandchildren Tessa, Abygail, and Brayden Boyer, David, Ellanor, and Vivian Gerdes; brother Rodger (Judy) Boyer of Wausa; sister LuAnn (Terry) Thacker of Lincoln; sisters-in-law Joyce Boyer of Smith Center, KS, Crystal Boyer of Bozeman, MT; brother-in-law Wes McCoy of Hastings; sisters-in-law Sally (Cal) Steepleton of Hastings, Kathy (Garet) Wetzel of Magnolia, TX; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be Saturday, April 1, 10:30 a.m., at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn. Burial will follow in Heim Cemetery at Dawson. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6:00 to 8:00.
