Morris C. Edelman

Morris C. Edelman, 84, of Sabetha, Kansas died Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha.

Morris was born on January 30, 1939, the son of Noah Edelman and Lillian (Schrock) Edelman at Sycamore Springs, east of Sabetha. Morris was one of two children born to this union. Morris attended school and graduated from Bern High School in Bern, Kansas. Morris was a member of the Kansas Army National Guard and served for several years.

Morris was united marriage to the love of his life, Majorie Menold on November 25, 1961. Morris and Marjorie were blessed with two children and shared 61 years of marriage. They owned a farming operation in rural Bern for over 60 years. In 1990, Morris and Marjorie moved from the farm closer to Sabetha. However, like clockwork, Morris drove to the farm every day to help with the farming operation until his death. Throughout his life, Morris was an active member of the Bern Apostolic Church, and he served on various church boards.

Morris was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Leland Snyder.

Morris is survived by his wife, Marjorie; his son, Curt Edelman; his daughter, Lana (Doug) Parton; his sister, Nila Snyder; his four grandchildren, Heather (Brian) Carroll, Kyla (Kyle) Hallgren, Josh Parton, and Stephanie Edelman; and his two great-grandchildren, Charley Hallgren and Carson Hallgren.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bern Apostolic Christian Church. Prior to the funeral service, a visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. The interment will be made in the Bern Apostolic Church Cemetery.
