Rosie Honeyman, age 91, of Seneca passed away peacefully on March 18,2023 at Nemaha Valley Community Hospital.

She was born on May 7,1931 to Herman and Alvena Suther. She was raised along with her five siblings in Seneca and surrounding areas. On August 24,1949 she married Robert "Bob" Honeyman, who became her high school sweetheart after he returned from the Navy to earn his high school diploma. Together they raised eight children - Rick (Linda) Honeyman, Gary (Diann) Honeyman, Terry (Meryce Clemons) Honeyman, Janet (Roger McCollister), Diane Brandenberg, William Honeyman, Lori (Mark) Koepsel, and Jeanne Thomsen.

Rosie and Bob were not only partners in life raising their children, but they were partners in various business ventures. These include Skateland, Prairie Lounge and Meadow Gold products. Rosie enjoyed her time with friends golfing, playing cards and bowling. She had an incredible green thumb and ran a meticulous house where everyone was always welcome and many times there were more than just their eight children around, which only made her smile more.

Rosie was a proud Avon Lady. Many in the Seneca community will remember her with her white wicker basket full of products. She worked for Avon for over 26 years and earned numerous awards and prizes. Not wanting to sit still and enjoying being social she worked as a hostess/waitress at Bob's Sirloin Room. She loved working with the younger generation kids as they brought true joy to her life.

Rosie was a beautifully devoted mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also a loving sister, aunt and beloved by many relatives and friends.

Rosie was preceded in death by her husband Robert of more than 65 years; 2 sons, Rick and Bill Honeyman and 3 brothers, Elmer, Melvin, and Cletus Suther. She is survived by 6 of her children; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Pat (Don) Hasenkamp and Anna Mae (Larry) Stotler; 3 sisters-in-law Sonja, Peg and Elaine Suther and daughter-in-law Linda Honeyman.

Services will be on Friday, April 14, 2023 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Rosary will be held at the church at 10:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11.00 am. inurnment services will follow immediately after the Mass at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Seneca.
