Helen V. Robson, 91, formerly of Holton, went to be with her Heavenly father and family members for her everlasting life, on Friday, April 21, 2023 at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka.

She was born November 6, 1931 at Harveyville, the daughter of William and Leoti (Mundy) Shaw.

Helen graduated from Burlingame High School in 1953. She then married Loren Robson on June 7, 1953 in Burlingame, Kansas. He preceded her in death on December 8, 1995.

In her younger years she enjoyed riding horses. She and her husband always had a huge garden. Helen loved to can the produce from the garden. During their marriage, she was a farmer- wife, preacher- wife, and a teacher- wife. Most of these at the same time.

She babysat for various families. She also worked for Aristo Foods on the assembly line. After that, she worked for Adams Business Forms. Wherever she worked, she always gave her best. She was given several awards at Adams, including employee of the year. She retired from working in October of 2002. After retirement, she said she missed working.

She was a member and faithfully attended the First Baptist Church in Holton.

Helen was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Kenneth, Albert, Dale and Elmer Shaw, two sisters, Hazel Smith-Tindal and Gladys Mikulichek.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Cashman Haynes (David), grandson, Zachary Cashman, step-grandsons, Ross Haynes (Rebecca), Reed Haynes (Claire), and Russell Haynes (Allison) and four step-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 25th at the First Baptist Church in Holton. Burial will follow in the Mayetta Cemetery. Family and friends will meet from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church on Tuesday. Helen will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton.
