Wilmer C. “Bud” Rials, 80, of Elwood, Kansas passed away Friday, May 12, 2023, at his home.

Bud was born on March 2, 1943, in Lawrence County, Mississippi to Thomas Jefferson and Quilladell (Moak) Rials.

He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion Post 161, and lifetime member of the VFW, the DAV and Freedom of The Road Riders. Bud was a truck driver, a musician, playing in many bands and operated The Place for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Robert Lee Rials, Shirley Rials Riley, 3 brothers and 1 sister and grandson, Cody Rials.

Survivors: Daughter, Teresa Rials, sons, T. J. Rials and Currie Wheeler.

Companion, Dottie Hontz.

Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 19, 2023.

At the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, Wathena, Kansas.

Visitation: 6-8 Thursday evening at the funeral home. Friends may call after 9 A.M. Thursday.
