Dorothy Marie “Dot” Gantz, 85, Lawrence, formerly of the rural Perry area, died Monday, May 15, 2023 at Bridge Haven Care Center in Lawrence.

She was born March 30, 1938 in Grant,WI, the daughter of Charles Milton and Ruby Mertie Williams Paddock.

She was a 1956 graduate of Bruce High School, Bruce, WI. and attended Beauty School after graduation from High School. She served as an administrative assistant for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of KS in Topeka, retiring in 2009 after many years. She was a member of Grantville United Methodist Church.
She married Karl Emil Gantz on December 29, 1956 in Lawrence, he preceded her in death on November 24, 1999.

She is survived by one son, Charles “Chuck” (Linda) Gantz, Valley Falls, two daughters, Karla (Frank) Patee, Grantville, Kathleen “Kathy” (Denny) Hackathorn, Perry, one brother, Jack Paddock, Bruce, WI, two sisters, Elsie Blodgett, Bruce, WI, Elaine Ploger, Exeland, WI, seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Laura and Joannie Gantz and a brother, Dick “Charlie” Paddock.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, May 26, 2023 at Barnett Family Funeral Home, Oskaloosa. Burial will be at Underwood Cemetery, Williamstown .
