Judy Mae Young, 68, of Rushville died June 3, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.

No services will be held. Cremation is under the direct care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home in Atchison, Kansas. Memorials are suggested to the Mosaic Cancer Center. Condolences for the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com

Judy was born on August 16, 1954, in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of Roy and Shirley (Watts) Lewman. She married Charles Young in 1974 and they later divorced, they had three children together. She worked in management positions in retail sales and food services. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, quilting and sewing.

Judy is survived by her daughters; Michelle (Terry) Hess and Monica (Toby) Stevens, son; Matthew Young, six grandchildren and three great- grandchildren, brothers; Raymond Lewman, Bobby Lewman, David Lewman, sisters; Peggy Engeman, Sharon Peuker and Carol Lewman She is preceded in death by her parents and long-time companion Harry Peabody.
