Mary Margaret (Billman) “Marge” Morgan, age 85, formerly of Denison, KS, passed away unexpectedly, June 3, 2023 in Denison, TX. She was born on March 6, 1938 in Lyons, KS, the daughter of Carl G. and Mary Madeline (Gabel) Billman.

Marge attended Holton High School and graduated from Circleville High School in 1956.

Marge worked for the State of Kansas Architecture Department for 27 years, retiring in 2000.

She married her high school sweetheart, Darrel Dean Morgan, on Valentines Day in 1956; he preceded her in death on October 29, 2018 after 62 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mary Billman and a son, Mark E. Morgan.

Darrel and Marge attended countless wrestling matches, baseball, softball and football games for their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gigi was always their biggest cheerleader. There was never a wonder if Marge loved you or not, she made it very well known, that is the greatest blessing she leaves behind with her family. She will be missed by so many.

Marge moved to Denison, TX, with her daughter Cindy, after Darrel passed away in 2018.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Morgan (Larry) of Denison, TX; son, Rodney D. Morgan of Denison, TX; daughter-in-law, DeAnn Jackson of Wamego, KS; 8 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; dearest friends, Maddy Sterrett of Holton, KS, Lee Collins of Holton, KS and Lori Plaude of Valley Falls, KS and so many more nieces, nephews and family members that consider her their Gigi.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 9, 2023 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, KS. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at the Holton Cemetery.
