Kenneth L. Stewart, 93, of Wathena, Kansas passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023, at the St. Joseph Senior Living.

Kenneth was born on August 14, 1929, in Seneca, Kansas to Charles and Georgia (Shaeffer) Stewart.

He served in the U.S. Army during Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Wathena United Methodist Church and a 70-year member of the Local Union #579, St, Joseph, Missouri and the American Legion Post #161 and VFW Post #5531 of Wathena, Kansas.

Kenneth married Patricia Ebelmesser on March 14, 1953, in Topeka, Kansas. She survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Additional survivors include sons, David C. Stewart (Dina) and James M. “Mike” Stewart both of Wathena, Kansas.

Grandchildren, Christopher Stewart, Barry Stewart, Angela Cochneuer, Kylie Humpert and Alan Stewart.

Great-grandchildren, Riley and Rory Stewart, Olive and Quinn Humpert, and Reese Cochneuer and a step-great-grandson, Chase Cochneuer.

Funeral Service: 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 26, 2023.

At the United Methodist Church, Wathena, Kansas.

Visitation: 5-7 P.M. Sunday evening at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Wathena, Kansas. Friends may call after 10:00 A.M. Sunday.

Burial: Bellemont Cemetery, Wathena, Kansas.
