William “Bill” Seager

William “Bill” Seager, age 66, of Atchison, Kansas, passed peacefully at his home on August 24, 2023, with family by his side.

Bill- life will be celebrated on Monday, August 28, 2023, with a visitation from 6-7:30 pm at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Cremation care has been entrusted to the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to the Atchison Humane Society or the Atchison Salvation Army.

Bill was born on July 31, 1957, in Atchison, KS, the son of the late William H. Seager and Thelma L. (Walker) Seager. He attended schools in Atchison and graduated from AHS in 1975.

Bill was always a skilled carpenter and worked for construction companies and also for himself; he even built a few houses over the years. He worked for the railroad for a short time until he moved to Omaha where he joined a volunteer fire department. When he returned to Atchison, Bill joined the Atchison Fire Department where he served as an EMT and Firefighter for over twenty years until his retirement in September of 2014. He always had a quick wit and a sarcastic comment waiting to spur good conversations. He enjoyed camping, fishing, riding his RZR and spending time with friends and family.

Left to cherish Bill- memory include his wife, Debra (Page) Seager, who he married on June 1, 2011, in Eureka Springs, AR. He is also survived by two sons, Jason and Justin Seager; and three daughters, Carey Keling, Heather (Vic) Brelsford, Amanda (Bryson) Reed; nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren; and a nephew, Kurtis Page.
