Anthony Razo

Anthony J. Razo, 67 of Topeka, Kansas passed on October 2, 2023 at his home in Topeka, Kansas. Anthony was born on February 8, 1956 in Wichita, Kansas the son of Lorene Masqua and Johnny Razo Sr. He grew up in the Northeastern Kansas area. In his youth, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing baseball and basketball, going to movies and playing his saxophone in the marching band. His favorite job was when he worked at a resort during summer break from college.

Anthony had many nieces and nephews, whom he cherished and liked spending time with. He taught two of his nephews how to play chess and they still play chess today. Besides playing chess and spending time with family, Anthony loved reading books on many topics and learning about chess, math and science. Anthony attended Bacone Junior College and later obtained a Water Plant Certificate and worked at one time for the Lawrence, Kansas Utility Department. Anthony achieved a high level brown belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Anthony is survived by three brothers; Chris Razo, Spencer Razo, Richard Razo; three sisters, Lori Randall, Laura Razo, and Lisa Bottom. He is also survived by three aunts, one uncle and numerous nieces and nephews.

Native American Church services will be at 5:30 P.M. on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Kenneth (Tab) Jessepe- home place on the Kickapoo Reservation. Burial will be at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday at the Mijissepe Cemetery on the Kickapoo Reservation near Horton, Kansas.
