Janice (Buhman) Zeit, 89, of Denton, Kansas passed away Friday, October 13, 2023, at her home, surrounded by family.

Janice was born on April 13, 1934, in Aurelia, Iowa to Vincent and Veryle (Card) Buhman.

Janice graduated from Clarksdale, Missouri High School and earned her R.N. degree from Sisters Hospital School of Nursing.

She was a member of St. Benedict- Catholic Church and Women- Council, Bendena, Kansas.

Janice married Lewis Richard “Dick” Zeit on September 1, 1955, in Hurlingen, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister, Ronda Steed, son-in-law, Steve Peters and a grandson.

Survivors include her children, Vickie Zeit, Diane Stewart (Ken), Sheryl Pierce (GE), Kirk Zeit (Kristina), Anita Peters-Strasburg (Scott) and Kevin Zeit.

21 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Sister, Sharon Phillips.

Brother-in-law, David Zeit (Nita).

Memorial Mass: 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 17, 2023.

At St. Benedict- Catholic Church in Bendena, Kansas.

Rosary 6:30 P.M. Monday evening at the church with visitation to follow until 8 P.M. Friends may call after 10:00 A.M. Monday at Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Troy, Kansas.

Inurnment: St. Benedict- Catholic Cemetery, Bendena, Kansas. Where there will be Nurse Honors under the auspices of NW Missouri & NE Kansas Nurse Honor Guard. Meal to follow at Crystal Creek Clubhouse, 871 150th Rd. Bendena, Kansas 66017
