Ashley Elizabeth Mayfield passed on October 12, 2023, in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was the second youngest of seven children born to Ron and Pam (Noa) Mayfield. Ashley was born on March 22, 1988, in Wichita, Kansas and attended schools in Kansas and Iowa, graduating with the class of 2006. Ashley was a decorated state and national gymnast. By 6th grade, she was ranked #3 in trampoline nationally, and #1 in tumbling and #4 on balance beam in Illinois. She also was a talented diver and cheerleader at Pleasant Valley High School in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Born a natural performer, she loved singing, music and attending concerts with her sisters and friends; her favorite band being The Disco Biscuits. Ashley- main passion was helping animals; she studied to be a vet tech and worked as a veterinarian assistant. Ashley had many pets throughout her life and was survived by her pit bull, Suzi; boxer, Thelma; German shepherd, Sparda; and cat, Bisco. She was a loving aunt who adored her 9 nieces and nephews. When Ashley wasn’t helping animals, she was spending time spoiling them unconditionally.

Ashley is survived by her loving parents, Ron & Pam Mayfield; 6 siblings: Christopher Mayfield, Stacia Mayfield, Jaime Mayfield (Chris Wubbena), Kyley Mayfield (Jeremy Smith), Ryan Mayfield (Caitlin), and Brett Mayfield (Kayla); 9 nieces & nephews: Giovanni Mayfield-Wubbena; Daschel Calease; Skye, Dorian, & Lia Mayfield; and Sorren, Zavien, Asa, & Iona Smith. She is preceded in death by her fraternal grandparents Bob & LaVerne (Shafer) Mayfield and maternal grandparents Carol & Marjorie (Boatman) Noa.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the Stella Community Church in Stella, Nebraska with Pastor John States officiating. Interment will immediately follow services at the Prairie Union Cemetery in rural Shubert, Nebraska.

Family will greet friends from 6-7 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023, at the Hall Funeral Home, 2403 Harlan Street in Falls City, Nebraska.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family and will be given to various animal rescue shelters in Ashely- memory.
