Janis Kay Pepper, 75, of St Joseph, Missouri passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the Laverna Village Nursing Home in Savannah, Missouri.

Janis was born on February 9, 1948, in St. Joseph, Missouri to Carol and Doris Morton.

She was an accountant for Psychiatric Hospital and Morning Star Foods.

Janis had a passion for quilting and sewing. She operated an Etsy Shop making American girl doll clothes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dennis L. Pepper Sr., brother, Eugene Morton, step-mother, Betty Morton and step-brother, Randy Morton.

Survivors: daughter, Angela Pepper-Barnes (Shane), Troy, Kansas.

Son, Dennis L. Pepper Jr. (Mary), St. Joseph, Missouri.

4 grandchildren; Skye Beck (Tucker), Lincoln, Nebraska, Brooke Payton (Anthony), Lansing, Kansas, Joshua Pepper (Jerry), St. Joseph, Missouri and Jaycie Martinez (Gabe), Troy, Kansas., and great grandchildren.

Family Graveside services will be held 12:30 P.M. Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas .

Visitation: 9-11:00 A.M. Thursday morning prior to service at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Troy, Kansas.
