Carole Baker, age 79, of Atchison, KS, died peacefully on December 17, 2023, surrounded by family.

A visitation to celebrate her life will be Friday, December 22, 2023 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the First Christian Church or Atchison Humane Society in care of the funeral home. Cremation care has been entrusted to the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.

Carole was born on November 1, 1944, in Atchison, KS, the daughter of Ray Wilson and Frances (Boyles) Wilson. She graduated from Atchison High School. She worked at different places in Atchison and retired after spending thirteen years in the housekeeping department at Benedictine. She was a member of First Christian Church and the Christian Women- Fellowship within her church.

Carole enjoyed sports and watching her grandchildren play as they grew up. She favored Kansas Basketball, Chiefs Football, Atchison High Football and the Pitt State Gorilla-. Carole- favorite part of life was her grandchildren; she loved supporting them in everything they did.

Survivors include her children, Jennifer Smith (Jim), of Atchison, KS, and Mark Grame (Cindi Lynn Boehmer), of Overland Park, KS; a brother, Kirk Wilson, Atchison, KS; three grandchildren, Allison Stille (Keith), Arika Smith (Hallie), Adam Smith; and two great grandchildren, Lainey Marie Stille and Huxton Thomas Stille. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Steve Wilson and Alvin Wilson.
