Evelyn M. (Peuker) Twombly, 92, resident of Two Timbers, Highland, Kansas passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Amberwell Hospital in Hiawatha, Kansas.

Evelyn was born on December 27, 1931, in Wathena, Kansas to Otto and Thelma (Younglove) Peuker.

She was a member of the Community of Christ Church, Fanning, Kansas. She was a farmer- wife, spending her lifetime farming with her husband in the Wolf River Township.

Evelyn married James W. Twombly on December 16, 1948, in Sparks, Kansas. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Thomas “Sam” Williams.

Survivors: Son, J.W. (James Wayne) Twombly.

Grandchildren, Dennis Lentz, Wesley Twombly (Lisa) and Jerry Twombly (Pam) and great-granddaughters, Kora and Kaley Twombly.

Sister, Leola Williams.

Daughter-in-law, Kathleen R. Twombly.

Niece, Elaine Oldridge (Jim) and nephew, Tom Williams (Connie).

Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 19, 2024.
At the Community of Christ Church, Fanning, Kansas.
Visitation: 9 A.M. Friday morning at the church prior to service time. Harman Rohde Funeral Home in Wathena in charge of arrangements
Burial: Highland Cemetery, Highland, Kansas.
