Sharon Ruth Springstead, 83, Everest, KS, passed away Monday, January 15, 2024, at her home in Everest, KS.

No formal services will be held. Sharon has been cremated under the direct care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, Kansas. Condolences for the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com.

Sharon was born February 21, 1940, in Atchison, KS, the daughter of Sumner and Vivian (Neese) Butler. She graduated from Atchison County Community High School. Sharon worked as a warehouse foreman at the storage caves in Atchison, KS. She enjoyed quilting and sewing. Sharon would make little doll dresses and little doll quilts and give them to little girls. She and her husband went everywhere together, and their Newfoundland dogs would load in the back of the truck.

Sharon married Keith Springstead in August of 1957; he survives of the home. She is also survived by a daughter Nancy Springstead, Everest, KS, sons, Wayne and Kristi Springstead, rural Holton, KS, Karl Springstead, Everest, KS, grandchildren, Kari and Pat Irvin, Kurtis and Rachel Springstead, Kadi and Mike Atteberry, Bailey Springstead and Ryan Springstead, great grandchildren, Alex and Kelsea Irvin, Adalease, Logan, Lillian Springstead, Charlotte, Sadie, Kacy Atteberry.

She was preceded by her parents, brothers, David, Howard, Pardee, Arthur and Carly Butler and a sister Dorothy Smith.
