Leroy Engeman, 73, of Troy, KS, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, March 26.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Chaplain Andy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison, KS. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Leroy was born on June 27, 1950, in Atchison, KS, the son of Francis L. and Leveta (Handke) Engeman, SR. He graduated from Atchison High School in 1968 and attended Northeast Kansas Area Vo-technical School and earned a Certified Welders Certificate. Leroy worked as a certified welder for WE-MAC Mfg. Atchison, KS from 1971-2019. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Atchison, KS, the Missouri Mule Club, and enjoyed going on mule rides, coon hunting and fishing.

He was married to Peggy Lewman on December 19, 1969. She survives of the home in Troy, KS. Additional survivors include a son Michael (Sandy) Engeman, Spring Hill, KS, three grandchildren Caleb (Miranda) Engeman, Rachel and Lily Engeman. His parents, and brother Ferol Engeman preceded him in death.
