Susie Lorene Berry, 96, of Atchison, Kansas died April 6, 2024, at Atchison Senior Village.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, April 8, 2024, with Rev. Russ Cooper officiating the service, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home in Atchison, Kansas. Susie was born January 6, 1928, in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of Elmer and Elsie (Wheeler) Pennington. She graduated from Atchison High School and attended business school in Kansas City. She married Clyde D. Berry on August 1, 1948, and he preceded her in death on November 24, 1998. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, puzzle books, button collecting, word games, poetry, African Violets, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Atchison. Susie was an active member in Lady Auxiliary and Girl Scouts.

She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie (Jim) Emery, St. Joseph, MO, Audrey (Tony) Correa, Boca Rotan, FL, Kristina (Steve) Jamvold, Atchison, KS, five grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, sisters, Beatrice McMillian, Coco Beach, FL, Linda Cameron, Horton, KS, and Virginia Pelton, Topeka, KS, along with the loving staff of Atchison Senior Village whom she considered part of her family. She is preceded by her parents, husband, sons, Edwin D. Berry and David Berry, brothers Elmer and Howard Pennington, granddaughter, Gabriella Correa and sisters, Francis Jean Boyce, and Ruby Nauman
