Brent Joseph Meyer, 64, of Sabetha, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the Sabetha Community Hospital.

Brent was born on August 4, 1959, to Velmer and Vila (Strahm) Meyer in Sabetha. Brent grew up and lived in Sabetha his entire life. During high school, Brent was actively involved in the FFA chapter, and graduated from Sabetha High School in 1977.

After graduation, Brent worked for Mac Equipment for several years. Then, he worked at Leman Motors, and he loved selling vehicles and visiting with customers. Brent and Glenn Sander eventually purchased Leman Motors which they operated for several years. Brent, then worked for CJ Foods in Bern, Kansas until his retirement.

Brent married Lisa Edelman in April of 1978. They were later divorced. They have three children, Jeremy, Jerad, and Kenton.

Brent enjoyed being outdoors and spending time in nature. He especially loved fishing and enjoyed many fishing trips with friends and family to Minnesota and Canada.

Brent was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Elizabeth McGuire; and his sister-in-law, Rita Meyer.

Brent is survived by his three sons, Jeremy (Kristina) Meyer, Jerad (Julie) Meyer, and Kenton (Gerrie) Meyer; his six grandchildren, Alexa, Jackson, Kohen, Ellie, Jordy, and Brenna; his brothers, Delwin and Daryl Meyer; and his sister, Elaine (John) Garber.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sabetha Cemetery in Sabetha. Prior to the graveside service, a visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha.
