Ruth Ann Sinclair, 92, of Atchison, KS, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Gran Villas of Atchison, KS.

The funeral service will be Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 2:30PM at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Russ Cooper and Fr. Jeremy Heppler, OSB, officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church or Mt. Vernon Cemetery or Atchison Humane Society and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Words of comfort for the family may be left at www.beckerdyer.com.

Ruth Ann was born June 12, 1931, in Atchison, KS, the daughter of Otis Clarence and Angie Marie (Gould) Sachs, she graduated from Atchison High School in 1949. Friends remember her as Drum Majorette in the Atchison High School Band in 1947, 1948,1949. After graduation she was employed by Kansas Power and Light CO. for approximately nine years, later worked at the Exchange National Bank for a short time, Kansas State Grain Inspection Office part time and was a Real Estate saleswoman for Harmon Realty until retiring in 1994. Ruth Ann was a member the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the Atchison Hospital Auxiliary, Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW Post #1175, Humane Society and a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, working in her home and yard.

She and Edwin Sinclair were married at the First Baptist Church on September 23, 1951. Edwin passed away August 26, 2002. Ruth is survived by a son, Scott and Karen Sinclair, Warrensburg, MO, a daughter, Julie and Bob Hanf, Atchison, KS, a daughter in law Tina Sinclair, Lawrence, KS, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was also preceded by her parents, a son Jeff Sinclair, and a sister Beverly Sutter.

The family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Gran Villas for the many years of exceptional care and dedication to Ruth Ann.
