Dean Roscoe Teter, 76, of Circleville, KS passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 27, 1947 in Holton, KS, the son of Jay Roscoe & Aileen D. (Albright) Teter.

Dean graduated from Circleville High School in 1965. He attended college at Emporia State University, and he served in the United States Army discharging in 1972. Dean- passion was farming which he did most all his life. He also worked for General Foods for 10 years, and then Jeffery Energy Center as an Electrician for 19 years.

He married Theresa Rutherford on June 30, 1967 in Netawaka, KS. They celebrated nearly 57 years of marriage.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa of the home; 2 daughters, Michelle Reed (Chuck) of Topeka, KS, and Janelle Eisenbarth (Aaron) of Holton, KS; a son, Mike Teter (Courtney) of Circleville, KS; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren with 2 on-the-way.

Dean is preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Aileen Teter, and two brothers, Billy Joe and Bob Ray Teter.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2024 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow at Holton Cemetery. The family will greet friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Dean will lie-in-state on Saturday, June 1st from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until visitation time.
