Linda Miller

Linda Lou Miller, 71, of Sabetha, Kansas passed away peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas with her family by her side.

Linda was born on October 24, 1952, in Wichita, Kansas to Leo and Betty Lou (Phillips) Kellenberger. Linda grew up in Sabetha and attended Sabetha schools. She graduated from Sabetha High School in 1970.

After graduation, Linda attended Atchison Vocational Technical school in Atchison, Kansas where she earned her Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) degree in 1987. After attending classes at Highland Community College in Highland, Kansas and Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas, Linda earned her Registered Nursing (RN) degree in 1995.

Linda worked most of her professional nursing career in nursing homes. She specialized in geriatric nursing because she enjoyed working with and making a difference in the lives of her elderly clients.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Kellenberger on November 22, 2009, and her mother, Betty Kellenberger, on June 17, 2024; and her two grandchildren, Kobi and Kori Miller.

Linda is survived by her three sons, Kenny (Kalynn) Miller of Sabetha, Kansas, Gary (Jamiee) Miller, Jr., of Horton, Kansas, and William (Jinnine) Miller of Murfreesboro Tennessee; her three daughters, Tina Nigh of Horton, Kansas, Lisa (Mark) Compton of Hiawatha, Kansas, and Laura (Chance) Cox of Topeka, Kansas; her 16 grandchildren; her ten great-grandchildren; and her brother, David (Sheryl) Kellenberger of Lafayette, Louisiana.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha. Prior to the service, a visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Popkess Mortuary. Following visitation and at the beginning of the service, The Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas Nurse Honor Guard will honor Linda- years of service as a nurse with the Nightingale Tribute. Interment will be made in the Sabetha Cemetery.
