Patricia Ann (Kelley) Blocker, 78, of Wathena, Kansas passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024,

Pat was born on June 6, 1946, in St. Joseph, Missouri to John Marvin and Anna (Pendergrass) Kelley. She graduated high school from Elwood High School, Elwood, Ks and began her college education at Highland Community College where she met her future husband, Ronald Blocker. From Highland they moved to Emporia Ks to attend Emporia State University. She has lived most of her married life in Wathena where she raised her children and taught school throughout Doniphan County. She began her area teaching career by teaching home economics at Wathena High School. She continued her education career by teaching Special Education at Wathena and with the Doniphan County Education Coop. She continued with the Special Education Coop, even obtaining her master's degree in education, until her retirement. After retiring from education, Pat enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, whether it was shopping or watching their sporting events.

Pat served on the Doniphan County Sheltered Workshop Board, KANZA Mental Health Board, Atchison Vo-Tech Educational Department, several years with the Doniphan County Chamber of Commerce through the Doniphan County Educational Coop and most recently as Secretary/Treasurer for the V.F.W. in Wathena.

Pat married Ron Blocker on May 27, 1967 in Wetmore, Ks. He survives of the home. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Additional survivors include her children, Kelley Vain (Gary) of Wathena, Aaron Blocker (Robin Doyle) of Wathena

4 grandchildren, Chaz Williams (Heather), Cydney Fansher (Troy), Rhayjin Blocker and Tairyn Blocker

She opened her heart to many adopted grandchildren throughout the years, too many to name.

Sisters, Judy Young of Lone Jack, MO, Bonnie Shank of Mission, TX and brother, Mike Kelley (Sandy) of St. Joseph, MO.
