Shirley Ann Noland, 85, of Seneca, Kansas, passed away on November 14, 2024, at the Life Care Center of Seneca, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on June 27, 1939, in Onaga, Kansas, Shirley was the eldest of three children born to Harold and Velma Tessendorf Toothhaker. She graduated from Onaga High School in 1957, and shortly thereafter married the love of her life, Robert Noland, on November 10, 1957, in Onaga.
After marriage, Shirley and Robert started their family in Onaga before moving to Seneca in 1962. They were blessed to celebrate their 67th wedding anniversary on November 10, 2024.
Shirley dedicated herself to raising her children and maintaining an immaculate home, taking great pride in both. For a brief time, she worked in housekeeping at Crestview Manor for seven years, but her primary focus was always her family.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Velma Toothhaker. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
Shirley is survived by her husband Robert of the home, and to this union was born 4 children Monty (Laura) Noland of Seneca, Tom (Barb) Noland of Maryville Mo, Janet (Jim) Clayton of Holton, Lisa (Leon) Lohrman of Lincoln, Nebraska. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren. 24 great grandchildren. One brother Dean Toothaker of Wamego and one sister Judy Michels and also of Wamego.
The family visitation with friends will be from 6 to 8 P.M. with a Prayer Service at 7 P.M. on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. The Graveside Services will be at 10 A.M. on November 18, 2024 at the Onaga City Cemetery in Onaga.
