Gary was a well-loved and remarkable man, leaving behind a beautiful legacy filled with family, faith, and hard work. His dedication to his community, and his personality touched so many lives.
Gary attended Atchison area public schools and had a long-lasting career working in the Construction and Laborers Union No. 264 for 47 years.
After his union retirement he discovered his passion for cattle farming.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Fitzpatrick of the home; his children, Charlotte Fitzpatrick, Karen (David) Hunt, Rachel (Richard) Hardman, Sheila (Jammie) Fitzpatrick-O'Connor, Matthew Stielow, Cynthia (Burton) Gordine, brothers, Howard and Walter Fitzpatrick, daughter in law Vicky Fitzpatrick, sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Gary's memory will live on in the stories, traditions, and love he shared.
