Karen Olson

Karen L. Olson, 85, of Reserve, KS, passed peacefully on June 14, 2025. She was born February 5, 1940 to Louis and Eunice (Wild) Pekarek in Elsworth, KS. They lived in Reserve where she graduated from Reserve High School in 1958. She married Gary Olson December 22, 1957 and they had three children.

They lived in Kearney NE where she graduated from Kearney State College in 1972 where she was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. She taught school at Upland, NE for a short time. Karen lived in Omaha, NE and Falls City, NE before finally returning back home in Reserve. Karen kept busy working at Pamida in Falls City and Camp Rulo. She was proud to have served on the Reserve City Council.

Karen is survived by her children, Brad Olson of Kearney, NE; Lori (Marlin) Bogner of Kearney; Terry (Deb) Olson of Denton, NE, four grandchildren, Jessica Yoesel, Lee (Amber) Foster, Emilee (Steven) Morrison, Wyatt (Shelby) Olson. Two great-grandkids, Breckin and Kezlin Foster and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law, Ike and Pat Pekarek and mother-in-law, Leona Olson.

Her memorial service will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 1:30 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Lauri Beach officiating. Inurnment will be in Cornelison Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
