Norma Eckwert, 92, of Falls City, NE, passed away June 29, 2025 at Falls City. She was born April 25, 1933 at Falls City to Carroll and Ollye (Ray) Runyan.

She married Edward Eckwert, Jr. on April 18, 1958 at Falls City. He passed away September 12, 2013.

Norma was raised in Barada and graduated Falls City High School in 1952. She then worked at Harper's Café and then for Stephenson Drug Store. Later she and her husband operated the Montgomery Ward Catalog Store for several years. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed making quilts and made quilts for her whole family, sewing, gardening and especially painting her house, inside and out.

Norma is survived by her daughters, Jeanne Shefferd and her husband Larry of Pensacola, FL, Joan E. Stice and her husband Otto of Falls City, grandchildren, Tiffany (Brad) Selleck, Krystal (Ben) Howard, Molly (Josh) Richey, Justin (Caitlin) Stice, Amber (Gilbert) Imbiri, Justin (Cassidy) Shefferd, Adam (Courtney) Shefferd, Brandon (Amber) Shefferd, Travis (Jenni) Shefferd, sister, Martha Runyan of Falls City, twenty-five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Dallas

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Jim Meysenburg as the presiding priest. Interment will be in Harris Cemetery.

A Parish Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with family receiving friends afterwards.
