Patty Moore, 88, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025, In the loving care of the staff of Maple Heights, Hiawatha and St. Croix Hospice. Patty was born November 24, 1936 at the Horton Hospital to James and Della (Behler) Callahan of Lancaster, Kansas.

Patty attended Lancaster Elementary and graduated from Effingham High School. In April of 1955, Patty married Patrick Moore, they later divorced. From their union Patty was gifted with one amazing daughter Shannon (Moore) Scott.

Patty worked for the Atchison Globe for many years as a reporter in her later years of working for the Globe she had a column that consisted of her opinions on the news of the day and life. Patty also worked for KAIR Radio and newspapers in Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri.

Patty is survived by a sister, Alice Alban. Grandsons, Corey (Pam) Scott, and Cody Scott. Great-Grandchildren, Haley and Patrick Scott. Son-in-law, Mark Scott.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, daughter; Shannon Scott, brother; Bud Callahan and two sisters, Mary Ann Risse and Margie Hamilton.

Patty requested that no visitation or formal services be held. A private burial will be held.
