Linden Irl Kemp, 81, of Atchison, KS, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Amberwell Atchison, KS.

Visitation with the family will be from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Cremation care has been selected, and interment will be at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, OK. Linden was born on March 6, 1944, in Enid, OK, the son of Fred and LaVon (Chambers) Kemp. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Phillips University. Linden was a manager for JCPenney's in Atchison when they first moved to town then he became the Director of Marketing for the Kansas Corrections Industry for twenty-two years. He served for nine years for the Oklahoma National Guard. Linden was a simple and quiet man who enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, he also had a love for traveling, having visited all fifty states and numerous countries. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Linden married Jane Louise Thorp on June 24, 1966, in Enid, OK, she survives of the home. He is also survived by a son Greg and Bronwyn Kemp, Shawnee, KS, a daughter Jody and Ben Whitney, Olathe, KS, three grandchildren, Julia Kemp, Delaney (Calvin) Morgan and Carter Kemp.

He was preceded by his parents and a brother, Jerry Kemp.
